These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and PAIR APP LLC (“PAIR,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the PAIR website and mobile app (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and accept responsibility for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

The Service and all of its content — including the ingredient write-ups, curated facts and history, illustrations and icons, the flavour-pairing engine and its calibration data, the compilation and arrangement of the database, the software, and the PAIR name and logo — are owned by PAIR APP LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property and other laws. Except for the licence in Section 2, no rights are granted to you. Underlying facts (e.g., public nutrition data) are not owned by anyone, but our particular expression, selection, and arrangement of them is protected.
You keep ownership of the collections, notes, and other content you create (“Your Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service. If you send feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free right to use them without obligation to you.
Share links. When you share a recipe, plate or pairing as a link, anyone who has the link can see it, and the licence above covers showing it to them. You are responsible for what you put in a shared link: it must be yours to share and must not contain web addresses, other people’s personal information, or anything unlawful, hateful, or misleading. Scores and drink suggestions on a share page are calculated by PAIR when the link is made, not chosen by you. We may switch off any link, or stop an account from sharing, if it breaks these Terms. You can stop sharing a link at any time.
The Service provides general information about ingredients, flavour, nutrition, seasonality, and pairings for educational and culinary purposes. It is not medical, nutritional, dietary, or allergen advice, and it may contain errors or omissions. Do not rely on the Service for health or allergy decisions. Nutrition figures are approximate and vary by product and preparation; aroma and pairing data are partly modelled estimates. If you have a food allergy, intolerance, or medical condition, always verify ingredients and allergens with the manufacturer or a qualified professional. We are not responsible for any loss or harm resulting from reliance on the Service.
The Service relies on third-party providers (for example, payments, authentication, AI processing, mapping, and geocoding) and may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for third-party services or content, and your use of them may be governed by their own terms.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PAIR APP LLC and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim or USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PAIR APP LLC from claims and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms — including automated or abusive use of scanning — or to protect the Service or other users.
If we terminate your account for a breach, any subscription you bought from us on the web is cancelled immediately, and you will not be charged for it again. Except where required by law, we do not refund the rest of the current billing period. We cannot cancel a subscription you bought through the Apple App Store: you must cancel it yourself in your Apple Account settings (on an iPhone, Settings → your name → Subscriptions), and Apple handles any refund request. You will not have access to the Service while your account is suspended or terminated.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and PAIR agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
