Paso Robles (Zinfandel)

Paso Robles Zinfandel is the grape at its most sun-baked and opulent: a warm Central Coast red of ripe, jammy blackberry and blueberry compote layered with chocolate, sweet baking spice and a full, warm, mouth-coating body. Grown in one of California's hottest quality wine regions — but cooled by wide day-to-night temperature swings — it pushes ripeness, alcohol and generosity to the fore while dry-farmed old bush vines keep the fruit concentrated.
