Amyndeon

Amyndeon (Amynteo) is the high-altitude, cool-climate face of Xinomavro: a single-variety appellation on the windswept Macedonian plateau of Florina where Greece's great red grape grows lighter, fresher and more overtly red-fruited than in warmer Naoussa. Uniquely among Xinomavro's homes it is made not only as a dry red but also as vivid dry rosé and as sparkling wine, all from the same searingly high-acid grape.
