Viognier

Viognier is the Northern Rhone's great aromatic white grape, and in its tiny granite homeland of Condrieu it makes a deep-gold, full-bodied wine of breathtaking perfume — apricot, peach, honeysuckle and ginger — with a soft, oily glycerol texture, low acidity and high alcohol. It is opulent and exotic, rich enough to flatter delicate spiced and creamy dishes that flatten leaner wines.
