Vermentino di Sardegna is the bright, coastal Mediterranean white of the island of Sardinia — bone-dry and high in acid, smelling of lemon and white flowers, cut grass and green Mediterranean herbs, with a sea-spray salinity and the variety's signature faintly bitter green-almond twist on the finish. It is a wine built for the sea, made to be drunk young and cold alongside lemon, olive oil and shellfish.
