Dão Touriga Nacional

Dão Touriga Nacional is the finer, more floral, high-country face of Portugal's greatest red grape: a dry red from the granite highlands of the Dão, sheltered by mountains and cooled by altitude, that trades the sheer power of the Douro for elegance, perfume and freshness. Grown on decomposed granite in a cool, protected climate, it shows lifted violet and pine over fresh red and black fruit, fine-grained tannin and a taut, mineral, age-worthy line.
