Valdepeñas

Valdepeñas is the easygoing, sun-warmed face of Tempranillo, which in this corner of central Spain goes by the local name Cencibel: a soft, juicy, bright cherry-red from the hot La Mancha plateau, with mellow red-berry fruit, low acidity and a light touch of oak, built for everyday drinking rather than long cellaring.
