Barsac
Barsac is Sauternes' lighter, fresher neighbour: a botrytised sweet white from the same corner of Bordeaux, led by Sémillon shrivelled by "noble rot," tasting of apricot, honey, candied orange and beeswax but carried on a more delicate, citrus-bright seam of acidity that makes it a touch less opulent and more elegant than Sauternes itself.
