Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is the bone-dry, electrically aromatic white that put New Zealand on the world wine map — a stainless-fermented Sauvignon Blanc from the cool, sunny top of the South Island whose explosive passionfruit, gooseberry and grapefruit leap from the glass over a green ribbon of cut grass and capsicum, all carried on screamingly high, mouth-watering acidity. It is light- to medium-bodied, pale and bracing, and almost defined by its own intensity.
