Chignin-Bergeron is Roussanne's alpine stronghold, an aromatic dry white from the French Savoie where the grape goes by its local name, Bergeron. Grown on steep, sun-trapping limestone scree at the foot of the Bauges massif, it turns the Rhône variety into a mountain white of apricot, honeysuckle and almond — rounder and more perfumed than most alpine whites, yet lifted by a fresh, stony acidity.
