Finger Lakes Riesling is the New World's cool-climate answer to the Mosel: a racy, aromatic, almost always unoaked white grown on the steep glacial slopes of upstate New York, where deep, deep lakes temper a fierce continental climate. Made from bone-dry through off-dry to lusciously late-harvest, it marries green apple, lime and white peach to piercing acidity and a cool, slaty minerality, and has become the grape's benchmark expression in the United States.
