Conegliano Valdobbiadene Superiore

Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore is the hillside DOCG at the top of the Prosecco pyramid: Glera grown on steep, hand-worked slopes between two Treviso towns north of Venice, at lower yields and higher ripeness than the vast flat-land Prosecco DOC. The bubbles still come from the quick tank method, but the wine is finer, drier-tasting and more precise — pear and green apple sharpened by acacia blossom, citrus and a chalky, almost salty lift.
