Gevrey-Chambertin

Gevrey-Chambertin is the largest village appellation of the Côte de Nuits and the firmest of its reds. Where most Pinot Noir here trades in delicacy, Gevrey adds flesh, colour and grip, with black cherry, blackcurrant, liquorice and musk over the usual red fruit — and it holds nine grands crus, more than any other commune in Burgundy.
