Cerasuolo di Vittoria
Cerasuolo di Vittoria is Sicily's only DOCG and its most distinctive red: a fragrant blend of the island's flagship Nero d'Avola with the lighter, perfumed Frappato, grown on the sun-baked south-eastern plains around Vittoria. The pairing tempers Nero d'Avola's dark, tannic power with Frappato's floral lift and bright acidity, giving a medium-bodied, cherry-red wine of fresh red cherry, pomegranate and violet over gentle, silky tannin.
