Wagram is the broad, generous face of Grüner Veltliner: a dry white grown on the deep loess terraces on the north bank of the Danube in Lower Austria, where warm, water-retentive windblown silt ripens the grape fully. Where the steep, stony Wachau gives Grüner a taut, mineral cut, Wagram trades some of that tension for breadth — ripe orchard and stone fruit, a rounded, powerful body and a gently peppery spice, all still held together by fresh Austrian acidity.
