Ribeira Sacra Godello

Ribeira Sacra Godello is the taut, stony face of Galicia's flagship white grape, grown on the dizzying slate terraces that plunge to the Sil and Miño rivers in one of Europe's most dramatic wine landscapes. Cool, Atlantic-tinged and steep, the region pushes Godello toward its most linear, mineral form — green apple, citrus zest and a bright, driving acidity over a wet-slate, saline core — usually made unoaked to keep the fruit crystalline and the finish stony.
