Monterrei is the warm, riper face of Godello: a dry Galician white from a sheltered inland valley on the Portuguese border, where more sun and less Atlantic rain than the rest of Galicia coax the grape into a rounder, fruit-forward style. Where Valdeorras Godello is taut and stony, Monterrei leans into ripe orchard fruit and citrus over a softer, gently saline finish, keeping enough freshness to remain a crisp, food-friendly seafood white.
