Fleurie

Fleurie is the most delicate and perfumed of the ten Beaujolais crus — the "Queen of Beaujolais" — a silky, floral red made from Gamay on the pink granite hills north of Villefranche. Where basic Beaujolais is bright and gulpable, Fleurie adds finesse: violet, rose and iris scents lifting crunchy red berries over fine, mouthwatering acidity and gossamer-soft tannin.
