Fiano di Avellino

Fiano di Avellino is the benchmark expression of the Fiano grape: a dry, full-bodied, age-worthy white from the cool, volcanic hills of Irpinia behind Naples, and one of southern Italy's greatest whites. Grown at altitude on ash-and-clay-limestone soils, it marries ripe pear, citrus and fresh hazelnut to honey, a waxy texture and a savoury, faintly smoky minerality, all held taut by bright acidity.
