Dogliani

Dogliani is Dolcetto's most serious expression: a deeply coloured, structured dry red from the hills around the town of Dogliani in the Langhe of Piedmont, the grape's historic homeland. Where everyday Dolcetto is a soft, early-drinking table wine, Dogliani is fuller and more concentrated — dark plum, blackberry and cocoa carried on firmer tannin, still closed by the variety's signature faintly bitter, almond-like twist on the finish.
