Bardolino

Bardolino is the lightest, freshest face of Corvina: a pale, translucent red from the eastern shore of Lake Garda near Verona, all vivid red cherry, cranberry and a whisper of pepper. Low in tannin and high in fresh acidity, it is a thirst-quenching, easy-drinking wine best enjoyed young and served lightly chilled — Valpolicella's slimmer, sunnier cousin.
