Languedoc Cinsault is the light, perfumed, sun-warmed face of this old Mediterranean grape: a pale, low-tannin southern French red grown across the hot, garrigue-covered hills of the Languedoc-Roussillon, showing bright red cherry and raspberry lifted by dried wild herbs. Long dismissed as a bulk grape of the Midi, it is increasingly bottled as a fragrant, gently chilled varietal of real charm.
