Pouilly-Fuissé

Pouilly-Fuissé is the benchmark white of the southern Mâconnais, the rounder, sun-ripened face of Burgundian Chardonnay. Grown on limestone slopes beneath the dramatic rocks of Solutré and Vergisson, it is a dry, gently oaked white of ripe orchard fruit, white flowers and toasted almond — fuller and softer than steely Chablis yet still fresh, mineral and unmistakably Burgundian.
