Napa Valley Chardonnay is California's signature white: a ripe, full-bodied dry wine built from Chardonnay grapes grown in a warm Californian climate, then barrel-fermented and aged in oak. The result is golden, generous and rich — ripe yellow apple, pear and pineapple fruit wrapped in vanilla, toast and a creamy, buttery texture — with softer acidity than its cool-climate cousins in Burgundy.
