Pauillac

Pauillac is the most concentrated expression of Left Bank Cabernet Sauvignon: one small Médoc commune on the Gironde that holds three of Bordeaux's five First Growths — Lafite, Latour and Mouton. Grown on the deepest gravel banks in the Médoc, it is the firmest and longest-lived of the communal claret styles, built on blackcurrant, cedar and lead-pencil graphite over high, fine-grained tannin.
