Chinon (Loire)

Chinon is the Loire Valley's benchmark expression of Cabernet Franc: a fresh, medium-bodied dry red from the cool, continental Touraine, grown on gravel, sand and tuffeau limestone, that trades power for perfume. It leads with crunchy raspberry and blackcurrant, a signature graphite and pencil-shaving minerality, and a leafy, savoury green edge over light, silky tannin and bright acidity.
