Leithaberg

Leithaberg is the cool, mineral, elegant face of Blaufränkisch: an Austrian DAC red from the limestone-and-schist hills above the north-western shore of Lake Neusiedl in Burgenland. It trades the plush power of warmer Blaufränkisch country for restraint and tension — bright red cherry, dried herbs, savoury black-pepper spice and a taut, stony minerality drawn from the Leithagebirge's Leithakalk limestone and crystalline mica-schist.
