Airén

Airen is the neutral, drought-hardy white grape of Spain's sun-baked central plateau — for decades the single most-planted grapevine on earth — that carpets the vast, dusty vineyards of La Mancha and yields a pale, light, gently fruity dry white as well as the base wine distilled into most Spanish brandy.
