Nemea

Nemea is the home appellation of Agiorgitiko and Greece's largest red-wine PDO, a sun-warmed amphitheatre of hills in the north-eastern Peloponnese whose reds carry the romantic nickname "Blood of Hercules." By law the red wine of Nemea is 100% Agiorgitiko, and the appellation gives its fullest, most classic expression: deep dark-ruby, soft and supple, with ripe plum, black cherry and red berries lifted by a hallmark sweet spice of nutmeg and clove.
