Liqueur
Tuaca
Tuaca is a sweet, pale-golden Italian liqueur built on a light brandy base and flavoured with vanilla and citrus — chiefly orange — for a mellow, warm profile that tastes of vanilla custard and candied orange peel over a gentle grape-spirit warmth. Bottled at about thirty-five percent alcohol by volume, it originates in Tuscany, long associated with the port city of Livorno.

Tuaca leads with a soft, creamy vanilla-custard aroma laced with bright candied orange peel, the two riding over a light grape-brandy warmth rather than a heavy syrup. On the palate it is sweet but restrained for a liqueur, medium-bodied and mellow, with the orange giving a citrus lift that keeps the vanilla from cloying and a faint spiced, oaky note from the brandy base. The finish is warm and gently spirituous at around 35 percent ABV, lingering with vanilla and a candied-orange sweetness that fades clean rather than sticky.
