Tayberry

Rubus fruticosus × Rubus idaeus · Berry

The tayberry is a cultivated cane-berry, a cross between a blackberry and a red raspberry, bred for a large, elongated, deep purplish-red aggregate fruit. Intensely aromatic and sweet-tart, it eats softer and juicier than a blackberry and is prized for jams, pies and fresh dessert use.
