Sunflower oil

Sunflower oil is the light, pale-gold fat pressed and extracted from the seeds of the common sunflower (Helianthus annuus). Refined and very nearly neutral in taste and smell, with a high smoke point and a low price, it is one of the great workhorse oils of the modern kitchen — the default frying and salad oil across much of Europe, the Black Sea region and far beyond. Most of the world supply comes from Ukraine and Russia, which between them grow the bulk of the seed crop.
