The tangelo is the knobby, deep reddish-orange citrus of late winter — a cross of a tangerine with a grapefruit or pomelo, easily known by the raised neck or nipple at its stem end. Its loose rind zips off in one piece, and the juicy, near-seedless flesh is brightly tart-sweet and intensely aromatic, with the famous Minneola the best-known of its kind.
These cues are Orange's, and hold across its varieties; where this one differs, its own page says so.
