The Lucques is the celebrated green table olive of the Languedoc in southern France — a long, elegant, crescent-shaped drupe of vivid apple-green, famous for its curved "parrot's-beak" form and a sweet, buttery, barely-bitter flesh that tastes of hazelnut, fresh butter and avocado. Often called the queen of French olives, it is a prized apéritif and gourmet olive rather than an everyday brining variety.
These cues are Olive's, and hold across its varieties; where this one differs, its own page says so.
