Nuclear Daiquiri
The Nuclear Daiquiri is a modern-classic tiki riff on the daiquiri — overproof rum, green Chartreuse, falernum and fresh lime, shaken hard and strained up into a chilled coupe. Glowing pale green and ferociously strong, it takes the clean sour template of a daiquiri and detonates it with 151-proof rum and herbaceous Chartreuse, arriving at a punchy, aromatic drink well north of 30 percent alcohol in the glass.

Pale, almost radioactive green, the Nuclear Daiquiri smells of bright fresh lime and the intense herbal, minty botanicals of green Chartreuse over the clove-and-almond spice of falernum and the funky heat of overproof rum. On the palate it is bracingly sour up front — sharp lime acidity leading into the spiced-lime sweetness of falernum — set against the medicinal, herbaceous sweetness of the Chartreuse and the high-octane pungency of 151 rum, finishing dry, aromatic and very strong at around 30 percent alcohol in the glass.
