2% milk is reduced-fat cow's milk standardised to 2% milkfat by weight — the middle ground between rich whole milk (about 3.25% fat) and the much leaner 1% and skim grades. Lighter and a touch thinner than whole milk but still creamy and faintly sweet, it is one of the most popular drinking milks because it cuts fat and calories while keeping milk's protein, calcium and clean dairy taste. It pours over cereal, splashes into coffee and tea, and works in most recipes that call for milk.
These cues are Milk's, and hold across its varieties; where this one differs, its own page says so.
