Nam Dok Mai is Thailand's beloved dessert mango — a slender, elongated, gently S-curved fruit that ripens to a clear golden yellow, with thin smooth skin, a thin flat seed and silky, almost fibreless flesh that is very sweet, low in acid and intensely fragrant. It is the classic mango of khao niao mamuang, Thai mango sticky rice.
