Intensely sweet and syrupy, Kahlúa leads with a strong roasted-coffee and espresso aroma layered over caramel, burnt sugar and soft vanilla, with a bittersweet roast on the finish. The texture is viscous and rounded, the alcohol gentle for a liqueur at around a fifth ABV, and the aftertaste lingers sweet, dark and coffee-bitter with a faint warming edge.
