Muscat is not a single grape but one of the oldest and most aromatic families of Vitis vinifera — above all Muscat Blanc a Petits Grains and the larger Muscat of Alexandria — defined by an intense, unmistakable floral-grapey perfume that smells almost more of grapes than grapes themselves. It is the rare triple-purpose vine: eaten fresh as a fragrant table grape, dried into raisins, and fermented into sweet aromatic wines such as Moscato and Asti.
These cues are Grape's, and hold across its varieties; where this one differs, its own page says so.
