Giant granadilla (Passiflora quadrangularis), also called badea, barbadine or grenadine, is the largest fruit of the passion-flower family (Passifloraceae), a football-sized passiflora native to tropical America. Unlike passion fruit, its thick, spongy rind is cooked as a vegetable while the aromatic, jelly-like pulp is scooped out and drunk.
