Feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium), also called featherfew or bachelor's buttons, is a short, bushy aromatic perennial of the daisy family whose feathery yellow-green leaves and small white daisy flowers carry a strong, camphoraceous, distinctly bitter scent. Long grown as a cottage-garden medicinal herb and folk remedy for fevers and headaches, its intensely bitter leaves are used sparingly in a few traditional teas and preparations rather than as a culinary green, and it is best known today as a herbal supplement taken to help prevent migraine.
