The Khadrawy (also spelled Khadrawi or Khadrawe) is a classic soft Iraqi date, smaller and darker than a Medjool, with a thin, smooth, glossy skin over deeply syrupy, mahogany-brown flesh. Among the earliest of the soft dates to ripen, it is famously delicate and tender, low in fibre and rich in a soft caramel-and-honey sweetness — a connoisseur's date often ranked just behind the Barhi for eating quality even though it is rarely seen outside its home regions.
These cues are Date's, and hold across its varieties; where this one differs, its own page says so.
