Cupuaçu

Theobroma grandiflorum · Tropical fruit

Cupuaçu (Theobroma grandiflorum) is a large Amazonian rainforest fruit and a close relative of cacao, prized for its creamy, intensely fragrant white pulp that tastes like a tangy blend of chocolate, pineapple and banana. The seeds can be processed much like cocoa into a chocolate-style confection known as cupulate.
