The Armenian cucumber (Cucumis melo var. flexuosus) is a long, slender, deeply ribbed fruit eaten like a cucumber but botanically a melon — pale, thin-skinned and sweetly mild, with the cool, watery crunch of a salad cucumber and none of its bitterness. Also called the snake melon, snake cucumber or yard-long cucumber, it can grow curling and twisting to 60–90 cm (2–3 ft) when left on the vine.
These cues are Cucumber's, and hold across its varieties; where this one differs, its own page says so.
