Crème de banane is a sweet, bright-yellow banana liqueur — a "crème" in the French sense of a very heavily sweetened cordial rather than a cream liqueur — built by flavouring a neutral spirit with banana and sugaring it until it pours thick and syrupy, prized for the ripe, almost candied banana note it lends to tropical and tiki drinks.

The texture is viscous and glossy, the alcohol gentle for a liqueur at around a fifth ABV, and the aftertaste lingers sweet and unmistakably banana with a soft, slightly cloying finish.
