Cobia (Rachycentron canadum), also called black kingfish, ling, lemonfish or prodigal son, is a fast-growing warm-water predator with firm, rich, pale flesh prized for sashimi, grilling and the grill-and-smoke trade. The sole living member of its family, it is one of the most actively farmed marine finfish in warm seas.
