Bing
Prunus avium 'Bing' · Stone fruit
Top 10 pairings
Bing is the benchmark dark sweet cherry: large, firm and heart-shaped, with glossy skin that deepens from deep mahogany-red to near-black and dark red, richly sweet, juicy flesh. It is the cherry most people picture, the standard of the fresh market and the one sold by the handful through early summer.
