Chambord is a French black-raspberry liqueur from the Loire Valley, deep purple-red in the glass and built on raspberries and blackberries layered with vanilla, citrus peel, herbs, honey and a touch of cognac-style spirit. Bottled at around 16.5% ABV, it is sweet, jammy and aromatic, instantly recognisable in its squat, round, orb-shaped bottle, and is used over ice, in Champagne and in cocktails such as the French Martini and the Kir Impérial.
