Camu camu

Myrciaria dubia · Tropical fruit

Camu camu (Myrciaria dubia) is a small, intensely sour cherry-like berry from a shrubby tree of the Amazon basin's flooded riverbanks, famous for one of the highest natural vitamin-C concentrations of any fruit. Far too tart to eat out of hand, it is processed into powder, juices, pulp and supplements.
