Camelina (Camelina sativa), also called false flax, gold-of-pleasure or German sesame, is an ancient flowering oilseed of the cabbage family (Brassicaceae). Its tiny golden-brown seeds are pressed for a nutty, faintly cabbage-like oil prized for being unusually rich in omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin E.
